Trust in the Universe Ritual

As the Moon decreases in Mansion 25, there is a mystical, forward-looking energy in the air with Mercury teaming up with Uranus in the mansion of the Rebel. Feelings may be erratic or even discarded as these two reach into the future and grab at fleeting thoughts and ideas…some of which border on being genius!
With the Dark Moon joining these two in the sign of Aquarius, it is much easier now to avoid becoming wrapped up in our emotions. We can take risks that perhaps we would have been unable to at other times in our lives…and even if others think we are ‘crazy’ we can still keep moving forward and follow those fragments of thought that are forming new ideas in our minds. We are more in tune with the universe and what is ‘planned’ for the future…and we can do our part to help the positive materialize simply by being open to the energy and having faith that although what we are thinking or doing may not make sense at this time, the universe will not bring us more than we can handle. We will eventually come to understand the why behind our thoughts and actions.
This New Moon in Aquarius ritual is to help us to renew our faith in the power of the universe - whether you think of this power as God, Goddess, Spirit, or the Universe (or any other belief in the greater good), we can increase our trust that all will be well and that this power will not bring us experiences we are not spiritually ready for. This trust will allow us to follow our ideas, hopes, and dreams even if they do not seem to ‘fit’ with societal views or the perceptions of those around us.
Asking the Universe to help us renew our faith and trust…

If you are outside the UK or US, please adjust the times accordingly. It is very important to complete the ritual during this time.
Items included in this kit:
One white and one magenta candle
Spirit incense
Herbal: Lavender and rose
Chrysoprase gemstone, fully cleared and charged
Drawstring bag
Other items needed:
Magenta or white paper
Any magenta, white, or black pen, marker, crayon, or chalk
Matches, a lighter, or a lighting stick
A plate or candle holder that is big enough to fit both candles on the same surface--make sure it is NOT plastic. Ceramic or glass will work best.
Water or a candle snuffer.

Instructions:
Gather all your items together and then create your sacred space. If you follow a specific practice for creating your sacred space, you may use this practice to complete this part of the ritual. If you do not have a set practice, then imagine your entire property encircled by the bright, pure white light of the universe. This can be a ring of white fire, a brilliant bubble, anything you feel comfortable with.
Next write down three wishes on the paper. Examples of wishes are:
"I ask that I may be able to trust more fully in my direction, even when it is not totally clear to me."
"I wish for the universe to bring ideas and visions that are ahead of our time."
"I pray that I may be able to trust more fully in the universe.
These are just examples! Use them or create your own to suit your needs.
Using a sturdy, flat surface, place the plate on top of the paper. If you are using incense, light it first. Hold the stone in your hand and say your wishes out loud. Visualize your energy mingling with that of the stone. Place the stone on the plate. If you are using oil, rub it into the candles in a circular motion as you visualize your goals. Put the candles on the plate and sprinkle the herbs around and in between the two candles. As you light the candles, repeat the wishes out loud. Close your eyes and visualize the new moon going from black to crescent, and continuing on to the Full phase. Think of the full bounty of the moon and the generosity of our universe. See your wishes unfolding before you. They are, not they will be.
As you think about the Moon and the Universe, center your emotions and see yourself as standing (or bouncing) on the Moon. Feel the coolness of the air around you. Now envision white light radiating out of every single pore of your body and also emanating directly from the Moon herself. She is glowing beneath your feet…you are glowing with her. Now see the light stretching out into the solar system, see it reaching toward the Sun and the other planets. Everything is connected…feel the energy vibrating across this web of white light. Focus now…let all of the planets fade into the background except the Moon (where you are still standing), Mercury, and Uranus (if you feel you will have trouble with this during ritual, you may want to draw a simple planetary placement map prior to beginning and have that with you to help you focus - otherwise, it does not have to be perfect…as long as you know it is Mercury and Uranus, that is all that matters). See the web of light grow brighter in intensity between the Moon and these two planets. As the light grows brighter, listen. What do you hear? Focus on any ideas that are arriving and even write them down if you can manage to do so while still listening clearly. As you listen, feel your trust in spirit expand and make you ever more aware of the usually unseen connections between yourself and the universe. Trust that ideas that come to you are part of a larger ‘idea’ and greater plan…we all have our role to play in bringing about change in our world and universe.
Let the candles burn for as long as you can as you focus on your wishes. Do not blow them out. Use a snuffer or wet your fingers and pinch them out. You may keep the paper in your possession to renew your wishes later, or you may discard it. You may wish to carry the stone, herbs, and bits of the candle wax in a pouch or little baggie for a few weeks--you may also discard the items. Keep and clear your stone for future use.
Have faith in your wishes and in the universe! This cannot be emphasized enough! Don't expect anything to happen right away...the ritual may take weeks to fulfill.
