Where have you been?

(Name of Person), you have spent a number of your past lives in positions of power. These lives have given you a somewhat complex feeling of being 'different' from others, almost as if you are separate or potentially of higher worth.

In the first life I have seen, you were deeply involved in temple ritual and may have been some type of High Priestess. This life, I believe, was in Egypt, in the Upper Kingdom. You seem to have been highly regarded and had access to the inner temple...you were of royal blood and very respected. As you were 'God's Wife,' you felt very superior to the other priestesses. You never married, (but you were also rather young--about 20) and this seems to have made you feel somehow purer than the other priestesses who went home to their husbands and families. Your brother or father was King, and you spent your life outside of the temple in the King's household. Although you did not really envy the others their mundane, human attachments, you often felt alone. It appears that you had an enemy amongst the priestesses. You were having an intimate affair with her husband and she found out. This other woman, Sesmat or Sassmet, stabbed you with some type of dagger during your ritual bath. You died later that night and the entire country went into a long mourning.

The next life I have seen, you were male. I believe you were an Abbot or Bishop...someone in authority within the Christian Church. This life was around 1100-1150, and seems to be in Ireland. There was a great deal of upheaval during your life, and you had your tasks cut out for you. Your monastery and the men in your charge were all well-trained with weapons and you had to defend the monastery numerous times. The monks looked up to you and depended on you, but they did not feel comfortable in your presence. You were very critical and exacting, often demanding pure obedience and sometimes perfection. There were many 'heathens' around the monastery and you were determined to help them convert to the 'true' religion. You had a good, albeit a rather stiff, heart and you only wanted what was best for those around you. Regrettably, your views and opinions did not mesh well with the opinions of others. It seems that you had some inner loneliness and longing in this life, something to do with your parents that I am unable to see clearly.

In another life I have seen, you were serving in an apprentice type position to a very gifted and spiritual healer. This life appears to be somewhere in the Caribbean. I do not know where, but you lived on an Island and the ocean was a very beautiful turquoise color. This life was not long after the life in the monastery. It seems to have been around 1300 or so. There was internal conflict and perhaps a civil war in your country, or clannish/tribe types of warfare. Your name was Amalyn or something very similar; I have heard the older woman call out to you. You lived with this woman--she was your guardian and teacher. It appears that you had some difficulty with certain aspects of the healing, which consisted of a laying on of hands along with herbal/medicinal administration. You were having trouble concentrating during the laying on of hands, and your teacher scolded you for it. You once again appear to be of Royal descent. I do not know if you went to live with the woman because something happened to your family, or if it was a high honor to do so. As you grew older and more confident, you were allowed to birth the village's babies alone (without the aid of the older woman). You did not have a wish for a family of your own, and I believe that after the older lady passed on, you took her place as the healer. You really didn't seem either happy or sad that you were in this role...you simply accepted it.

Throughout these lives, the recurring theme is a sense of detachment and some loneliness. You were always in service to others, yet you felt aloof and separate. Your emotions were suppressed or hampered by the feeling that you needed to maintain your position of authority and respect.
