Where have you been?

(Name of Individual), you have quite an old soul that dates back far before the coming of Christ. You are currently completing a karmic cycle and are preparing for a new cycle of growth.

In the first life I see, you were a Priestess in a type of nature, mother goddess religion. You may have performed fertility rituals, or been looked upon to sanctify marriages. You seem to have been very revered, nearly to the point where your people viewed you as a heavenly or divine being. Although you were quite satisfied with you role in life, you were very sad at times as you lacked a personal life. You had a daughter that was taken from you at birth and raised by a barren couple--it seems you had several children, all the products of fertility rites carried out in public. The children became the property of the group, and you were the sacred vessel who delivered them. For some reason this one daughter--her name was Ama, Ana, Ahna, something similar to this--meant more to you than the others. I am not able to understand the pronunciation well. I believe you were in love with this child's father, but he was connected to someone else. You had mixed feelings about being a High Priestess, which you had to suppress from the others. You felt very lonely although you were rarely alone. This life was somewhere in what is now India and easily dates back to 1,000 BCE.

In the next life I see, you were royalty, indeed, a King, Prince, or of similar importance. This was between the years 1130 and 1280. You were of mixed Celtic-Nordic descent, but the country is not clear. You were born sometime in late March...on the 23rd or 28th. In this life, you were very much an authority figure. You led troops into battle and you were again treated reverently. Although you were married, you were not happy within the relationship and it seems you had many lovers. Your wife was very strict in a traditional sense and she helped you cover your transgressions from the public in order to save the family's name. You often felt hemmed in by such a public life, like you could not actually be who you really were. The good of the country and the family came before anything you desired. It seems you had quite high ideals and spent much of your time away from home, in other countries doing battle. You may have went on the crusades, as I see you surrounded in the bright light of the desert sun.

In the last life I see, you were some type of writer working for your government. It seems to have been just before or during the French Revolution. You were employed by someone high up, perhaps the King. The propaganda you wrote was for the survival of the monarchy and you had to be protected at all times. You didn't really agree with what you were writing, but felt it was your duty to support the established government. Your father may have been employed higher up in the government and raised you to be loyal to the crown. Although you longed to write your own work--maybe some type of poetry--you did not have much time to develop or work on anything outside of your job. Work was everything to you in this life, and although you did have a family, they did not see much of you. As the situation heated up, you were not even allowed to leave the court. You were even expected to travel in the King's entourage. It seems that you died quite unexpectedly, in the midst of an uprising. It may have been by fire.

These lives all share a common factor. You have been duty bound at the expense of you own personal self-expression and your needs for a secure family life.

Where are you going now?

Now, in this life, you are still struggling with this issue. You have a great need for love and a sense of security, but you also need a large amount of independence. You are so used to being independent, yet tied to an ideal--either yours or that of the groups--that you would be sadly disappointed if you had to give up this freedom. In sharp contrast, you have a great need for love and approval by others. This too echoes back to your past where you have given up your personal needs and desires for others. You needed the approval of others then, but in this life you must struggle to overcome this ingrained need. In order to come into yourself and be who you are meant to be, you must risk disapproval. This includes sharing your unique visions and ideas and developing your ideals in this life.

You are still devoted to romantic ideals of the past, and you may immerse yourself in your romantic relationships to such an extent that you place your partner on a pedestal. When you do this, you set yourself up for feelings of unworthiness. When you feel unworthy, you begin to play a role that is not who you really are, but who you believe your partner wishes you to be. You throw so much intensity into your relationships that they may burn out quickly, leaving you desolate. Despite your problems in relationships, you are quite resilient and you are capable of bouncing back from defeat. You may even find it easier to marry someone who is more of a friend rather than a passionate love; this is because you are not overwhelmed with becoming who the other wants, instead you are able to be yourself and relax. You are learning to love unconditionally, without attachment, and if you fight this lesson too much and continue to hold on tightly for fear of loss, you will lose those who are dearest to you. You must give freedom in order to have freedom in your relationships.

Your ego is well developed, and because of this, life will throw you a curve each and every time you begin to feel too superior.
